Whats up guys?? I just sent my motor yesterday morning to the machine shop. Got it with a melted piston so its going for a rebuild.
-magged block
-honed and possibly bored out (since its the same price)
-connecting rods checked
-resurfaced flywheel
-maybe a rebuilt head (if i can get a good deal)
Anyways when i was in class last fall taking engine rebuilding, my teacher, this great machinist. Hooked up this 350 smal block to a stand, ran spark, threw some ether, and pumped the engine full of oil with this pig he made, and cranked the motor up. I'd like to see if i can get a pig for the newly rebuilt engine. I'm not sure of the technical name for the thing, i just know that it runs iol to the motor before it cranks up. Has anyone else done this mod? I'm very interested, but can't find anything on it.
