My insurance called today. my insurance is going up because i dont have antilock brakes on my supra

i was almost sure i have abs on my supra. they said if i cant get the info on a creditable internet site, then they will take the increase off. So HELP guys! i need a good website that says i have abs.

its a 1989 supra turbo

he also said it has to be 4 wheel abs, not 2 wheel.

Check if your gauge cluster has an ABS light on it.

Supras have a "3" sensor ABS system. which is technically four wheels. 2 sensors on each front wheel and one on the transmission for the rear wheels. Just tell insurance its four wheels, worked for me.

uh westfield i believe. they said i either need to get it certified with signature by a shop (which costs $$) or i need to prove to them online that my model has it.

my dash does have the abs light. i told them that but that wasnt enough.

Funny, I remember that a lot of insurance companies were talking about not giving discounts for ABS anyway, seeing as how the statistics don't show that it helps with avoidance or overall costs of accident claims.

Anyway, since your car definitely has ABS, and I'm sure you can find that 1 and 2 channel ABS was never an option on any Supra, (ie: Only 4 wheel ABS was ever offered) you shouldn't have a problem.
