I was just wondering if anyone keeps up with the Inital D series (The Version produced by Tokyo Pop) on DVD. I wanted to know because the store I get the movies from recently closed down and I have no idea where else to get them or even if the company is producing any more. The latest one I have is Battle 14-Extra stage. Now I know this series is old news in Japan and in the US, but there is just something about this version of th series that I like. If anyone knows the answers to these questions or just like this version of the series please feel free to chime in thanks!!

You're buying the tokyopop dvd's?

Why not just buy the subtitled full collection? That's what I did.

The Tokyo Pop DVDs is the only version I can find in stores plus it has the "Classic" and the "Tricked out version" so I can watch both.

Yea, My little brother and I actually watch those, he got me into them, we got ours at a store in the mall that closed, however occasionally we find them at best buy, have'nt seen any new episodes in a while, I did download the live action film on morpheus for my pc, but its japanese and no subtitles so I still have it on the pc but didn't dvd burn it cuz I can't deal with thier language and not understanding it. LOL good show though

yeah I have to agree, fansubs FTW! *cough* BitTorrent *cough*

I have stage 1-4, the movie with the chicks and the live action movie :naughty:

Only bad thing is, things were just starting to get REALLY good, and then stage 4 ended. Stage 5 isn't due to start for like a year or two. :3d_frown:

The Tokyo Pop collection has ended on #14: Extra Stage. The next logical step is Third Stage, the movie. Tokyo Pop as of now don't have any plans to continue the series, so the only way to get the rest is to download/purchase the subtitled versions. This sucks for me, as my children are hooked on it too and they are 2 and 6 and wouldn't be able to keep up w/ the subtitled versions. That's why the Tokyo Pop dubbed versions are FTW in my book!!!

So FUNK all the haters!!!! J/K

No hate here, just don't believe in buying the Tokyo Pop DVD's at $20+ a pop for 4 episodes. But I understand your situation, that sucks! Check out ebay, they have all 4 seasons english dubbed up for sale sometimes.

I was getting mine for about $14 and sometimes the place I was getting them from had coupons so it was about $10 sometimes. Is there a good place to download the live action and english dubbed versions?

P.s Has anyone played the arcade game?! That shit is addictive!!

Here's a day in the life of that guy:

God Foot: "Man I'm hungry...let's go get some food God Hand!"
God Hand: "OK!"

*God Hand and God Foot walk to a Hot Dog cart...but on the way God Hand realizes something!*

God Hand: "Oh wait, you have A.D.D. like a motha! Quick focus!"
God Foot: "DORYAAA!!!!"

*Hot Dog cart guy craps his pants!*

Hot Dog Guy: "WTF was that?!?!!"

Yeah the game is great!! I always liked the fact that your was saved to a card that you could use over and over again to continue through all of the tracks/stages which is rare for an arcade machine!! When I worked for Nissan my friends and I would go to the arcade on our lunch breaks and play at least 3 or 4 times a week, but sadly I haven't had time to go play in a while!!
