I'm having trouble opening a file

My girlfriend sent me a picture thru her phone and it came thru as a MIM file. I can't open it on my computer. I downloaded winzip and it still couldnt open it. I've tried various file hosting sites and none of them could support it. Anyway to open one of these damned files?

Winzip is the way... Double click on the .mim file to open Winzip and select "Classic Mode". Once open, select the file to be extracted (click on it) and hit "extract". Make sure the extracted file is directed to a location that you can easily access, such as your desktop. You should then be able to view the extracted file.

If the file is still not viewable, make sure it has the correct extension (usually .gif or .jpg).

What's the file extention? the .XXX of the file name she sent? right click on it select Properties and you'll see the whole file name with it's extention.
