IJ start up

alright so i swapped my new set of twins in and everything is set, do i need to know anything before i start her up? oh ya i drained the coolant out of the rad and possibly from the block, how high does the nose of the car does it have to be to burp it? i just need to know everything i need to prep before i start this baby back up, shes been asleep for 4 months now! since the gf is gone, its time to make her jealous with the new and sexy gf

Just say you meant 1J and IJ he may leave you alone.

As far as your question, I would say just fill it up as high as itll go and then find the biggest hill you can. If you happen to live in the likes of Iowa, then don't worry about it, just let it burp itself and top it of as it does so.
And for the turbos, pull your efi fuse and crank you engine until you build oil pressure so your turbos arn't starved upon start-up.

Im sure someone will have something to add or correct about that...


Oh and since she's been sitting make sure she is ready to go (oil topped off, etc)

ya i just wondering about the turbo being starved, thats what i really needed to know. i was worried that the turbos might be starved in the beginning. anyone with more details?

if you are worried about the turbos being starved of oil at first, then just disconnect the igniter and crank the motor over for a while to prime up the turbos.
