Being that I am wiring up my entire car from scratch I need to get a couple positive feeds off of my ignition switch. It appears to be able to take quite a load, looks like about 10awg wiring going to it. However I did a search here and IJ seemed to indicate that the switch was not capable of holding much of a load. What are your guys' opinions/experience on the matter? Just to clarify, I am using the factory ignition switch.

No more than 30 amps. If you need more than that you should be using outboard relays.

Luke: Relay anything you need to load up! ;)

Alright, I had planned on doing that until I saw the wiring going up to the switch. Funny thing, it was your post I was referring to when I said I had heard it can not take much load.
