Hello, I have a 87 7mgte, I am not getting spark, im getting fuel. the battery is good and all grounds are good. im not getting power to the ignitor or the coilpacks. I was wondering if it might be my ecu? Or if it might be the CPS? Any help would be great. Thanks,Josh

90% of the time it's the wiring...either at the connector or shorting (from brittle, broken insulation) going into the CPS housing.

another thing to check......as you're turning over the engine...check to see if the tach moves. If it does the ECU is getting a signal from the CPS....if not....wiring could be bad or CPS itself could be bad

Thanks alot guys, It was the CPS wiring. I replaced the engine wiring harness. That was the only thing electrical i think i havent gotten new from the dealer. But im in search of one in better condition or ill have to see if i can rewire it myself. The dealership wants more for it than i can afford. I mean way more.HAHA
