When my car sits in nuetral,or park it idle's up and down .. the timing is dead on,ive checked all the hoses and whatnot for leaks thinking it could be a vacum leak sumwhere...When Mike(from masupras.com) looked my car over we came to the conclusion that there had to be a wire frayed between the TPS,and the ECU. today befor i left work i ran wires from the TPS to the ECU and it did the same exact thing....any of u have possible solutions to this??

I have read on here that when u rev the engine up after it comes down it should click or something...im having similar problems myself...but it isnt varying it just stays around 1500 to 2000 rpm...

Sound like your Idle Speed Control Valve. Sometimes it needs to be replaced, other times it needs to be cleaned. Check it on your car and see if the connectivity is up to TSRM standards.

it could also be the IAC usally you can take that off and clean it sometime the valve in there becomes lose so if you want you can tighten in down.
TY everyne i will be looking into all these possibilitys today,,i know that the TPS is good,ive swapped it with one off of a running car and still the same problem,and also when i pull the plug off of it the rpm's jump up.

Twas the ISC, it was stuck i got it loose cleaned it,then oiled it up a little...seems to be idling fine now!! : ) ty ppl
