i need help. car wont rev

so i bought my car off some guy. he said all it needed was the oil pan gasket, when i got done with that and i turned it on it revved to redline. after fixing a couple of other leaks i went to turn it on and it wouldn't rev past 3000rpm now this is neutral both time i've yet to drive it. so im stuck it wont rev past 3000rpm. any help is appreciated i really need the car i just got a job

i just got done checking my tps at WOT it reads 1.9 k Ohms its out of spec. i didnt do the ones with feeler gauge dont have none so im guessing next step is calibrate the tps?

you can try adjusting it or you might just have to find a good one. you should check your codes even if you don have a light cause you can have stored codes.

i pulled the codes and got 52 and 41

Throttle position sensor and knock sensor. A search on knock sensor rewire is a good place to start, and the tps test can be straitforward if you are handy with electrical. I'll refer you to the bible:

thanks for the help guys. i tested the tps and it worked but the dam thing wasn't on right lol contacts weren't on the right side so its all good now thanks again for the help
