Hi I Would Like TO Thank Everyone Who Looks At my page . I am in the process of buying a mk3 supra. if anyone could help me, thanks. the car is a 1987 7MGE, and not a 7MGTE. Its a 5 speed and it has about 202,000 miles on it. it starts but it has horrible idle issue. that being the oil pump is broke. if anyone can send me a message on how to properly replace the pump please send it to me or email me at gmzo6@yahoo.com

If the Oil Pump is broken the engine has seconds to live if run.

Can't see how it would affect idle at all right up until it seized solid.

Like IJ said, the ony way an oil pump will affect idle is cause the motor to seize...then you would have no idle.
