How would you go about tuning a custom exhaust with the use of resinators? Which resonators should I use, and where should I place them on the exhaust system?

Thanks in advance

I was thinking of placing it right before the axle about 3/4 of the way through. I don't know what type of resinator I should use though, and where to buy it. I knwo quiet exhausts such as the dragger, HKS sport, and Tanabe hyper medallion all have large resinators to muffle the sound.

Unfortunately my thoughts on the matter all just point me to buy a catback that is tuned and has a resonator stock. I think you'll find however, that most resonators (3") will suffice just fine placed somewhere mid pipe between the cat and muffler, even though it might not be tuned 100% for the exhaust piping and engine, it will do a good enough job that any annoying drones will be taken care of.

Sorry I can't help more.

Thanks. I was contemplating whether I should change my muffler and through a better resinator to the existing 2.5" piping. The car is currently a NA, but Im doing a full turbo build up next fall/winter. I was going to get the Tanabe Hyper Medallion and have it on the car for when I go turbo, but Im not sure it will be too loud, and still have the annoying drone it already has.

I hate vibrations from the muffler or pipings... currently I have that problem. I'm also N/A and have a 2.5" exhaust. When I go turbo and re-do my exhaust, I'll be sure to somehow make it comfortable for dialy driving.
