Morning all!

I still haven't been able to drive the Supra around too much because of the fact it hasn't had any heat. Well yesterday I decided to try running some coolant system cleaner through it and see if maybe the heater core was plugged. to make a long story short, the heater core was fine, the valve was fine, but the return line is plugged where it connects with the return tube.

See picture for details.

So I put in a Tee at the firewall and routed the hose to the port that sticks out the other side that was plugged (not used) see picture.

Once I added the coolant and "burped" it a number of times, it still was not putting out any heat. So out of desperation, I buttoned everything up and put the car in reverse (with a hard stop) and did that a few times and the heat started pouring in! ::w00t::

So tonight after work, I'll check the radiator again and make sure it's topped off, then start it up and make sure the heat is still there. So maybe next week (since we are going to be getting lots of rain starting tomorrow), I'll try driving the Supra into work which has been my goal all along. :icon_bigg

I have finally made it in to my office with the Supra (that's a 45 mile drive...oneway)...::w00t::

I still have lots of issues, but it seemed to drive just fine. Now to start on the next project, changing out the headlight/Wiper switch. Then check out the frontend for what sounds like something loose. Then look at new shocks, brakes, interior, etc., etc., etc., etc....:aigo:

Thanks! So far so good! :icon_razz

I found out what my next problem is; I have been feeling and hearing a mild "bang" when I brake and put the car in reverse, or go forward from reverse. I pulled the right from wheel off and found that the rotor bolts holes are too big and the rotor is moving around from the hub, just a tad, but enough to possibly cause damage if I don't replace them.

I think I would like to ::hang:: the last guy that worked on this car.
