How to tell what year ECU I have?

Dad brought home a couple 7m turbo M/T ECU's from the junkyard a while back. Not sure what year they're from. Both Yellow plug, but one has an extra little connector on it. Trying to do a gte swap in an 88, have the car, engine, and harness

What color plug is your harness? If you harness is yellow plug your in buisness 87-88 uses a yellow plug harness and ecu.

Extra connector is the HAC sensor which is needed for pre 89's. Use that one

extra connector on the ecu it self on a yellow plug means its a turbo ecu. n/a yellow plug ecu's do not have a lil plug hanging off of it.
