I just got a hold of a cheap ebay turbo, for a deal i couldn't pass off, problem is that is has one of those huge exhaust housing (1.15ar) :3d_frown: what do i need to bolt up a smaller A/R ????? I did some research but there was nothing clear as far as an answer. Any suggestion beside selling the turbo to an RX-7 guy?

most likely you got ahold of a generic T70 or something, made by masterpower, powermaster, or some other off brand name? If this is the case (and its still a good turbo and will be extremly reliable) the center section is from a combine, or some other large farm equipment. My local turbo shop said that there wasnt much they could do without dissassembling it and searching through their catalogues to find another sized exhaust wheel. Rick, the guy that worked there told me that its probably going to be a hard part to find because of the shaft size (its an odd ball) but in your case it could be different. You have to take the snap ring or v-band off of the exhaust side, then unbolt the wheel from the shaft, get a smaller wheel and housing, or possibly have that wheel machined down (probably not possible). Good luck!
