How do I cure Boost Spike with Apexi ACVR?

I picked up a heavily modded Mk3 in Feb and have not messed around with the engine or fuel system(Apexi SAFC), or boost controller(Apexi ACVR). On hard pulls my boost spikes to 17,18 almost 19 psi then slips down to 15 or 16 or so(according to my autometer guage), which is where the limit seemed to be before. I have put in 4.10 gears so it revs up faster on acceleration.

Any suggestions? This doesn't seem like a good thing to be happening on pump gas. Thanks

what bov are you using? shimmed wastegate at what psi?

Looks to be a Bosch stock type BOV. I'll have to inquire about the wastegate.
