how many connection are there to the power antenna? theres the big plug with a bunch of wires. the female end of the antenna wire..and what are those tubes for? is there anything im missing?

the big tube is for drainage. you should just worry about power,ground and remote. easily found with a test light. OR you could just eliminate the need for an exterior antenna and use the AM antenna in the rear hatch window. i think all you need is an adaptor and viola!
so i cut the bigger antenna adapter going into the radio and wired it into the wire going into the rear window antenna and im getting great reception...
i don't know if there is any cutting involved,as i still need to do the mod one of these days.

i drove around and i found no loss of reception. the rear defroster antenna is great! i wont be needing your power antenna yellow 13, but thanks! thanks guys. success.
