That's not a bad idea on the temporary cover. I was porting an aluminum intake for a 406 we drag race last night and covered the hole before I started because I was worried about debris getting in the turbo.

My daughter is a helicopter mechanic/ working on pilot in the Army so I might be able to score some warning stickers/ flags.

Believe it or not the scoop is no higher than the dash over the speedo and tach and doesn't come up past where the wipers at rest.
