hook a line from the wastegate to the boost solenoid and from the boost solenoid to the stock BOV line or a post-turbo intake port if you have a boost controller, if not attatch it to the stock BOV port.

I dont think that info is correct wingman. The wg has 2 ports on it and both need to be routed. I looped mine together seen as how I am not running with a b/c right now but I could be wrong.

ok after a few searches I may be wrong but if so then why are there 2 ports on the wg?

CNew: You can use the second port for boost control by running a regulator + boost pressure into the back of the diaphram.

10 psi spring + 2 psi from the reg will give you 12 psi this is very old school though and not many people do it.

yessir!

the top port is for a boost controller. if running wg spring only this is left open.

so, if you are running a boost controller hookup will be different.

if you arent, its as easy as hooking the vac fitting on the turbo to the side port of the wastgate.

edit: often over looked by first time installers. see that flange right above the bolts? its the one w/ the raised collar. that collar MUST be installed facing the the piston of the wastegate. if not, it will not seal the seat correctly.

there is no port on my turbo so would I plum the vacuum hose from the bottom port on the wg to the upper ic pipe?

I really dont want to take everything apart so I will just throw the boost controller back in

if you dont want to drill and tap the turbo you could drill and tap the ic pipe coming off the turbo. i prefer a pre ic boost reference since you loose some across the ic.

Is there any possible issues running it on the upper ic pipe? That is where it was originally tapped into. I just went out and was going to see if I could take the housing off without removing the turbo but that wont be able to happen.

CNew: Do you mean the Pipe into the 3000 pipe?!
If so it's going to read the IC pressure drop and add that to the WG opening point

(Mine is on the IC pipe right after the 1st coupler)

Yeah. That is where it was plumbed into before. Is this a bad thing??? and why?? Thanks in advance IJ. I really did want to take the comp. housing off but it just isnt worth it to me to have to remove the turbo as it is a pita as we all know

It's not BAD as such just what I mentioned about the pressure drop across the IC.

Turbo makes boost you drop 1 psi across the IC so that gets added to the WG spring which is for example a 14 psi spring.

So 14 psi spring + 1 psi drop = 15 psi when you were shooting for 14....

It's not a huge deal as long as you're aware of it.
(Could be more or less depending on the IC as I think stock will drop 3+ psi)

I am using the big ol Greddy 3in core ic. so I am not sure what the drop will be. I am going to put in a wg spring that is under 14 so hopefully the drop isnt too much as I would hate to spike to high.
