HKS SSQV Fitting

I am going to be buying one of these soon. I fitted a DV to my old 7M GTE.

I wanted to see where people had fitted them on the 1JZ GTE. Be great to see where people have fitted theirs.

Nearest the thottle body gives the best response. So its best to put it in an elbo as it enters the throttle body. If you are retaining the stock twins then place it where the stock bov returned to the piping. Cut a plate to seal where the stocker was.

Why the hell do people change the blow off valves? I'm a total noob, but..... does it help in ANY way? =) (sorry for my ignorance).

In this particular case, the stock 1J bov is very small. On top of that, the port that goes to the stock bov is even smaller then the valve (take a look).

The ideal setup is to leave the stock one in place, and add a 2nd one near the throttle body.

"The BOV is very small" -- I know I'm sounding like a complete ignorant here, but, what is the negative aspect of it being very small?

Better yet: will I see any gain in power? Or any other gain? I mean, what exactly is a good reason to upgrade the BOV?

anybody got any pics of this setup? I've got a ssqv on my 7m that I plan on transferring over to my 1J, but I'm not exactly sure what I need to go about it. I don't know if I want one of those fittings you can get to hook up a hose to it, or just have it welded onto one of my blitz intercooler pipes near the throttle body....it would be nice to see how you guys have got yours arranged!
