:EDIT: I've got the first version of the HKS EVC EZ. It's a straight forward electronic boost controller with a knob to turn up/down and an on/off button. Pretty simple.
Well, It is very random.
90% of the time that I boost, It will boost at what I set it to.
But there are those occaisional times, and half the time it does it, it happens when it's the first time I've really boosted that day...other times it's just random...but it will only go to about 5-6psi, and won't go any higher. I'll let out, boost again, and then it'll be fine. And also, more frequently, I'll go to boost and it will just max itself out to fuel cut (around 18psi). Then, again, I'll go to boost a 2nd time and it will go to where it's suppose to be (about 14psi). Is there an explanation for this or could my stepper motor be going bad?
Or maybe perhaps the mini-filter breakers in the vacuum lines are dirty?
Anyone is welcome to shed some light. :icon_bigg
