Hight Idle

so, i'm comming back from Santa Fe and at a stop i noticed my idle was higher than before. before this i've been running with a code 51 so my idle was at about 1k-1100 rpm. now its at about 1300-1400 rpm. from what i've been told, Code 51 is an out of adjustment TPS. could it have gotten worse now?

Get a new TPS. Im 99% sure its the cause of your problem.

If it still does it come back and let us know whats wrong.

its probally out of spec, you can get one fairly cheap here on the forums $20 or go nab one from a junkyard.

so check this out... last night i pulled the battery to reset the ecu and tinker a bit. this mourning i noticed my RPM's was at the 1k-1100 RPM i've been seeing before. i drove it to work and back and whille it was sitting my garage waiting to shut down by the Turbo Timer, about 10 sec before it shut off the motor's RPMs went back up to 1400 RPMs. i bliped the gas a bit to see if it would fall back down but it stayed there at 1400 RPMs till it finaly shut off. what the heck, man. this is really annoying!

My idle was super high as well like 1000-1300 RPM, turned out to be a clogged ISC valve with lots of carbon build up that just needed a good cleaning.
