I had an erratic idle. Idled at 1000 then would randomly drop to 400. No codes. I decided to check ISC. Pulled it, cleaned it, it was nasty, also pulled the throttle body off cleaned it, it was nasty. After I put it back together I have a steady 1400 rpm idle. No codes. ISC has proper resistance and is clicking on shut down. Would the cleaning cause the TPS to need an adjustment? Also if I unplug the ISC nothing happens, no change whether plugged in or not. Any ideas?

Ok, no consistent resistance readings coming from the tps. no readings WOT. I have to rotate it almost completely counter clockwise to pass continuity and prevent code 51. Bad TPS?
If you unhook the TPS while it's running does it do anything? Whenever my old TPS was bad the motor wouldn't respond to plug/unplugging it.

When I unplug the tps while running something definitely changes. kinda surges a little. But unplugging the ISC during running definitly no change whatsoever.
Your ISC might be bad, because it should be the same rule of thumb as the TPS, I would think it would be bad if it doesn't change anything by unplugging it.

I now have a code 24 intake air temp which is AFM according to TSRM; still have a 1400 steady idle. Rechecked ISC. I unplugged the AFM while running, no change. Havent checked the afm with meter yet.
Codes cleared. TPS still does not pass the resistance tests with the meter. It also has no continuity between E2 and IDL with either .5 or .9mm guage.
Another thing, when the engine is reved the idle goes down to a normal rpm for 2 seconds then rises back to 1400. I have a TPS on the way.
