Hi, My name is Devin Im 18 and live in Las Vegas. Just picked up a 88 MK3 Supra. Non Turbo, Automatic, Targa Top. Its had 3 owners since 1988 and there is not a dent in the car, Interior is IMMACULATE MINT! Shadow gray too :icon_bigg Currently the plans are just as a daily driver for the mean time, and then either swap to the 7MGTE or do a 7MGE-T. My brother is an ASE Certified master mechanic and owns a Performance/Fabrication Shop here in vegas. First step to getting it running is a head gasket replacement.

Thanks, Looking forward to the forums :)

Welcome to the forums. Post up some pictures of your new(er) Supra when you get a chance. I'm not sure, but I don't think shadow grey interior was an option in '88... but I could be incorrect.

Here are some pics I took over at the previous owners house. Will get some better pics when its cleaned up a bit as long as maybe a build thread depending on what I decide to do to the car.. My brother used to own a 89 Turbo Targa and had someone on here make him a new E brake boot and arm rest cover, anyone know who that is? I need one :D

Congrats. Doesn't look half bad for its age. And it's gonna be nice for you, having a master mechanic & performance/fabrication shop available at below retail. LOL Wish I had that hook-up!

Got the Car home today after having to borrow a trailer and a truck.. It was kind of getting dark so this was the only pic I got! More to follow! Clean up starts tomorrow :)

Glad to see you got it home!

After seeing how clean this is, it makes me sad to have gotten rid of mine. At least I still get to work on them :p

And the ebrake/shift boots came from Empera (awesome work as everyone knows)

same way i started out! $700 for my one owner. :) how many miles? if it sat for awhile with a bhg i bet theres coolant in the oil. i would check out the bearings to be safe. Then change the oil after 5-10 minute idle and again 5 heat cycles on the HG.

na motors are cheap and in better condition. Thats why Im going NA-T within the month. ;)

Im not sure how bad the BHG is, I will find out when I pull the head today.. The oil looks pretty good but then again its been sitting for some time and water and oil separates. When I drain the oil hopefully I don't find any water in it. It has 130,000 miles on it

Thanks,
Devin

Little update, Washed the car today and cleaned the interior a little. Man I still can't believe how clean the interior is! That front bumper kills the whole car, Any suggestions?? Wet sand and then re clear coat?

Welcome. You should start a build thread.

Also thats just reg gray. Shadow gray only came in 91 in leather with a darker gray and black.
