hey sup every one well need some help got a cpl of ???
1-how much should it cost to get a HG replaced.
2-will a 1.2mm hg need any any machine work.
3-what else should a replace at the same time.
4-also got a WB 255, RC 550s, and areo fpr should i waite till just befor i go to dyno tune to install them or get it done while i do the HG will it change any thing other than me being able to boost more.

1 - Using OEM HG and doing the work myself ran me about $700 including buying a few tools, etc. Estimates from shops in the area ranged from $1600 to $2000 assuming the head wasn't warped or any other problems existed, etc.
2 - Head needs to be milled if using OEM HG, and you will need to have the block done as well if you go metal. Thickness of the HG will depend on how much is taken off.
3 - I replaced every gasket and it's a good time to do all hoses and belts, too. Sparkplugs and wires wouldn't be a bad idea either. Water pump is another good option while you're at it.

ARP Head Bolts: $100
Machine Shop Work: $225 (valve adjustment, milled, tested)
Tools & Shop Supplies: $75
Total: ~750

A healthy 7M-GTE: Priceless!

i get mine for 65.00 OEM TOYOTA hg and you can too if yu goto jay marks toyota or champion.

Mine has turned out to be an expensive one, mainly because I want to do the best job possible. So to do it right and avoid rk, I'm pulling the engine myself and having the deck machined, bottom end checked out, bearings replaced if needed, and head milled and rebuilt as needed, inhjectors cleaned by RCeng. I also ordered all cooling hoses, new main wiring harness, gasket set, plug wires, mhg, etc. Bumping on $2K now :-( .

i'm probably going with the toyota head gasket set as well... sadly its expensive. i'm trying to find out more about other prands like ishino...they have a set online which is in the 140-200 dollar range . i hope i can get a better deal than 350 for the yota set though.
