hey i just bought a rack and pinion and got a new steering dampner...
I wanted to know if you guys could help me out and tell me what to do??:1zhelp:
also where does the dampner bolt on 2???
please tell me in details newb!!!!!:nono:

man i know thats a great manual but.
for some reason i dont get that.......
what does the steering dampner bolt on 2.?
im going to try to change the rack and pinion.
i just want the most information as possible

One side bolts to the rack, the other to the subframe (IIRC).

What did the damper run you anyway?

20 bucks, from a friend, toyota wanted 170 :3d_frown:
would i need an aligment after i put the rack and pinion???

yes I think you would need an aligment.

You will need an alignment as you will be changing the setting of the outer tie rod ends.

well i ran into a problem changing the rack and pinion.
seems the car was hit from the bottom before, so alittle piece from the
crossmember was bent covering the screw to take it off?
Could i cut that piece off?
or would i need a whole new cross member......
help please
