On the thermostat housing there is a Sensor with a green clip, not the the part where the radiator hose goes, there are 3 on that, but the housing has one that a green clip goes to what is it?

You can tell TCCS sensors because they're at least 2 wire. The one you're referring to is the coolant sensor. It's located upstream of the thermostat for what should be obvious reasons.
