punctuation is your friend!

from my experience, a huge part of putting a motor back into the car is getting the correct angle with your engine hoist/crane.

get a few friends to help u "muscle it in" as u lower it. its helps to do several movements at once [i.e. someone pushes the crane, someone lowers it, someone makes sure things line up, someone manuevers it into position] it worked for us pretty good in my friends mkii when we did the 6m swap.

trial and error. just have to lower it in, and raise it back out if u miss. just dont break shit.

Im confused, what is this "axle" you speak of? if its the driveshaft then it should already be out of the car before you tried putting the motor/trans back in.

So, the motor and trans are bolted together and you are just having trouble getting it all the way back and down into place? It takes both finese and muscle. It certainly does help to have some extra bodies to help wiggle it.

yes i mean the driveshaft so your saying I should take the driveshaft out and bolt up the engine and tranny mounts then put the driveshaft in if thats correct Ill try that tonight

I try to stay positive with you new mechanics and offer advice when I can. Ive even chastised some of the other veterans for being a bit harsh sometimes. But sometimes ya just gotta ask...

WTF?

yeah, thats what Im saying.

There seems to be a rash of complete bonehead moves mechanically by some of you younger owners on here lately. Allow me to offer some advice.
