Alright, I am having a bit of a problem with my 91 turbo. A few months ago I completely stripped my engine bay. I removed all the wiring from the engine bay.
I have since reconnected everything and hooked up a new battery. My headlights, horn, dome lights are working. I even have power to my maft pro. However the cd player, gauges, and windows, etc seem like they are getting no power. I have checked voltage and grounds at numerous points. All seem to check out. Also my fuses all seem to be fine. I just removed the fender liner to see if I had left anything unconnected, but all seems fine there too. I am about to go check over the wires around the main fuse box again to see if I can discover the culprit. Any ideas guys?

Double check your gauge fuse...it also provides power to the relay that runs the seats and windows.

Alright, my trusty multimeter helped me pinpoint the problem. Appearantly I am not getting 12 volts at the alternator. I made a jumper wire from the positive terminal on the battery to the power (the bolt) on the alternator and everything works fine now. I assume there is a break or something in theoriginal wire. Will it be a problem to run a good thick piece of wire from the positive terminal on the battery to the alternator, or should I repair the original cable?

Edit: Alternator fuse is blown! (slaps head) Thanks Jdub

Glad it didn't cause too much pain in tracking it down ;)
