Perhaps there was some confusion. The TPS will *not* cause a rev limit of 3000. However if you were saying the code 41 could've be TPS related than yes, of course it could've. Even the TSRM makes that clear. It can also be TPS wiring.

41 is caused by:

1) VTA exceeding 4.8 vdc (open circuited)

2) VTA falling below appx 100 mv (short circuited)

3) VTA exceeding 1.5 volts with IDL @ ground. (throttle is opened yet idle signal remains low)

When trying to resolve the code that's how you know for sure. Or you can simply swap parts out like real mechanics do....
