I need an exhaust for my 510.

Now, I have done a motor swap. 1987 300ZX V6 (VG30e):evil2: . My dilemma, I don't wanna enlarge the original exhaust hole that is located in the rear crossmember:aigo: . I'm debating whether using a Y pipe and having it exit on the side of the car in front of the rear wheel (Driver Side). Or using an X pipe same exit but making it duals (rear wheels, both passenger side and driver).

what do ya'll think?????:1zhelp:

Dump the exhaust in front of the rear wheels. What do you use the car for most?(Track dd etc.) I think that might have alot to do with the setup you choose.

ooo well i dont know what you have in mind but i think an old skool greddy SP would look nice behnd that car.

Nah I'm stright with the SP. The sole purpose of this car will be to entertain me. I want to be more involved in autocross. But, will also serve as a back up car for when the SUP breaks down. For example BHG, or the other more common problem, BHG.

i vote open header.

if its just a have fun car...yuo can tolerate the noise just to piss people around you off..

i rode my mk2 with open header for a long time..loved it.

also..if open doesn't work...i'd say get a 4 inch pipe for your tip...but sandwich it into an oval where it pokes up from under your car..it'll give you more space..and a hellacious look.

Cut 1 big@$$ hole in each front fender......run 3>1 pipes on each side to your fender. Wah-lah! A very free flowing exhaust. :D (That's what I'd do if I were going all out drag on my 7M)...

Otherwise, angle out in front of the rear tires. ;)
