Help identifying this loose wire

Anyone know what this yellow wire is supposed to be connected to? I just got my mk3 a few months ago so im still new with a lot of stuff. Seems to be connected to the blue and green wires. There is electricity running through it when the car is on.

I think the green wire is the AC fan switch.

Any idea of the yellow wire? Its just sitting there not connected to anything. Sometimes my car doesnt start. After i play around with this wire the car eventually starts.

Wheres the blue wire go to? I havent seen the yellow wire on my car at all. The previous owner probally put it in to ground the blue and green wires or something.

It looks like its going into this other sh*tload of wires that run across my engine cover towards the right. After that I dont know where it is connected to.

I know I've seen that pic before.

I think someone use to have something that needed 12v and tapped off that wire. Does it have 12v on it?

put a red volt meter lead to it, black to ground, and see if it has any voltage. should be ~12v with ignition on. looks like someone tapped off it for some reason.
it goes to the condenser fan temp switch.

Sorry bout that. Must have forgotten. I thought i made that thread on SF and got no response. Where exactly is the switch to put it? These diagrams are confusing to me (noob).
