Help 2j not runnning so gr8

ok whell i have a 2j in a 240sx s13. now it runs below 180 when im on the highway and drops when im at a light. i have a misimoto aluminum rad and 2 14" fans. the problem is when i beat on it. it tries to overheat over 220 degres but then i shut it off and leave the fans on. any ideas of y or how to fix this?/??

ok and my second problem is the car feels like its biengheld back between 20-95% throttle when i go%100 it feels good but if im between that range it sucks. any help here guys?? thanks alot

Have you tested for a BHG yet? Maybe your water pump is going. You might have air in your system which is causing it to boil over.

the water pump is new us spec one and the car runs really cold unless i beat on it. and the last time i flushed it i had the car on a jack in the front so wouldt that cause all the air to be out?

sounds a little like my car, in that case... retighten your head (I was on ARP head studs and they were loose)

hmm ill try it any othere ideas? what spark plug gap should i b at 10-11 lbs
