Does anyone know the torque rating for the heater union on the back of the 7m head? Was ready to crank my car, but I had to dissasemble half my engine to hunt this leak down. I waited a week for new crush washers from toyota and the gd thing still leaks. Someone help me please before I beat the hell out of this car with my torque wrench.

Thanks Grim I looked in the tsrm, but for some reason the page I looked at didnt have the torque specs. It is much appreciated. You arent kidding about the banjo fitting. This has totally ruined my week. Had the car ready to start, put in coolant, saw a leak, and the hunt began. Had to take of the turbo, dp, exh. mani, and I still couldnt find it. Called my shop and they helped me pinpoint it over the phone. The biggest pain was finding the crush washers. I searched everywhere and ended up ordering them from toyota. Got them today after a 3 day wait and the damn thing still leaks. Hopefully I will get this resolved tomorrow or I guess I am going to order a new heater union nipple and about 10 washers.
Very important with these...make sure the surfaces are very clean, and try to determine that they are good, with no corrosion or 'niks'.
