heat went out on my supra

hay everyone been here a while on supramania, and i know ive seen how to fix this before but what would cause heat to go out? isnt there a valve on the fire wale hat locks up overtime? idk i cant remember?

Right beside the windshield wiper motor there is a vsv with a vacuum hose running into the top of it. On the bottom of it is the actuator arm which can be pushed up then tied with wire or a zip tie. This will give you some heat all the time. Look for a good replacement and that should fix it most of the time.

whats a good way to check to see if the valve is the problem? if that actuator is always down when i turn the temp up? cause i havnt had heat the whole time ive own my car lol, only like 5 months tho but i wanna get on it before it gets cold

Have your girlfriend change the climate control from full hot to full cold while you watch this valve. If it doesn't move, it's toast.

You can just bypass it entirely, or you can pull it to open and zip tie it there. :)
