hey guys, i am in the middle of a dilemma. i just had the front end on my car repainted. i put it all back together, went to drive it the other night and discovered a really crazy problem. when i turn my headlights on, the pop-ups go down, when i turn the lights off, the pop-ups go up. i thought at first that it might be my switch in the car causing a short, but now i am unsure. any thoughts on how this might have happened will be very welcome. as for now, i have the motors unplugged so that i can use the car at night.

There's a thread here(or on SF) where someone was having the exact same problem. Don't quite remember who it was, though. I'd check the plugs on the motors and make sure you don't have them plugged in wrong(don't think you can, but check anyway).

I had a similar problem when assembling my front end. When I turned mine on only one went up, but when I turned them off, it went down while the other went up. Then they kept alternating with each turn of the switch. It turned out that I still needed to install one of the bulbs that wasn't in yet.

Do you maybe have a headlight out or missing?

I have a similar problem but i just need a new headlight switch. both parts on the stick spin, so it's like unlocking a safe just to turn the lights on. Anyone know where i can pick up a new switch for cheap?
Thanks,
Larry

Pull the end cap off the stalk and put the screw back in...

I've had this happen before, but I don't remember how I fixed it...
