Have ? on Tq Conv removal

My son got a JDM 2JZGTE to put in his SC300. It has the Tq Converter & Flywheel attached still & I cant get it off so that I can mount it on a stand. After pulling & tugging no luck LoL :3d_frown: I tried to just remove the Tq conv from the flywheel but I cant get the converter to rotate so I can get to all the bolts. Any Ideas?

are all the bolts removed? can you turn the crank?

You have to turn the crank so you can remove the tq and then you have to remove the bolts from the flex plate from the crank.

Yea.. wont budge even with a breaker bar on crank bolt.

Maybe its siezed.

Take the spark plugs out and try.

Removed the spark plugs & still wont budge. We have it sitting on a tire using a breaker bar on the crank bolt. Id rather not tear this down not secured to a engine stand.

Cut the timing belt off and see if that helps. Also spray some lube into the cyls.

well I think its siezed up from salt water sitting on a dock. Ill spray it down with pb blaster& soak the cyl a few days. LOL knew this was going to be an ordeal soon as I pulled in my driveway after work to see my son & his friend unloading a 2JZGTE longblock out of a Honda hatchback. Good times.
