Gutless until the motor warms up, dies when you let off the gas

My first though on this issue is that it was related to the ecu temp sensor but it checks out per the TSRM. The car isn't drivable at all when then it's cold, it won't accelerate and tries to start pushing boost way too early, and it still doesn't make any power. After warm up it feels fine, except that when i take my foot off the gas the Rpm's drop and it tries to stall out completely and does on occasion.

My car is an 87 turbo that has been converted to a 5speed at some point before i bought it, i've read several threads with sort of similar issues but never both at the same time, i am at this time leaning toward the 02 sensor as it's one of the devices that controls the engine, but it doesn't do anything till it warms up. I'd thoroughly appreciate any insight you can provide especially about the motor dieing out when warm. When it dies it's always when i've been driving normally, clutch in, and remove my foot from the gas to downshift.

Also i have not been able to sort out what these two wires go to and if they are part of the issue: IMG_0911.jpg one of them looks like the dash temp sensor wire, but that wire is already connected so this one can't be it.

looks like it should connect to the bvsv to me from where its located but maybe its a wire for an extra gauge somebody had installed previously

The bvsv is heat controlled from what i understand, but the fact that i no longer have one makes that a moot point :)

Wouldn't matter anyway because the BVSV isn't electrical.

The blue connector is for the condenser fan thermo switch. The other is for the AC coolant temp cut out...

Idk if this helps much, but I was sorta having the same problem with my 5 spd Toyota Pickup. It would always stay cold and constantly try to stall out when I gave it gas but it would be fine after 10 min of driving. I asked my teacher for help and he said it was most likely that my thermostat got stuck open (luckily not closed) and because of that the engine wasn't getting to operating temp so it would stay in open loop. I replaced it and the truck runs perfect. Not too sure if it would help with your problem, but im just throwing it out there.

Need to again, haven't reset it since i got the car running but as far as the thermostat goes mines brand new, the motor doesn't try to die though until it's warm and i let off the gas, then it dips to around 400 rpm or lower, most times it dies out. very confused to say the least after a bit of digging on the forums i found a pic of the thermo housing, apparently i don't have an aux fan switch or AC ac fan switch, also my dumb ass tested the cold start temp sensor instead of the ECU sensor, i'll have to hit the shop next week and do some testing. Any idea on why my car wouldn't have the fan switches?
