guage cluster help

i took my cluster apart today i thought that i had snapped my speedo cable but it turns out that the gears to turn the speedo are burnt out im trying to take the old gears out and replace them but i cant figure out how to take the needle out to get to the gears any help also i moved the gas needle what should i do?

The needles pull right off try using just your fingers at first then if that does't work then try the two fork method, one on each side and pry it straight up. I would place something under the forks to protect the gauge face, it will resist at first but, they come off fairly easy.
I recommend that you just replace the speedo, It probaly cheaper and less hassle.
B.T.W. I'm not trying sell you any thing, I have speedo for that I don't need, just swap the needles from yours to the new one.
