I was going through an old email address I hardly use anymore and I saw an email from this forum wishing me a happy birthday. Anyway, I remember signing up late 2008 and never did an appropriate introduction. I sold the Supra I had at the time that year, and as of a week ago, I am the proud owner of another. It's an 89 Supra targa top. I have always really liked how these cars look and wanting to do a build someday. As of now, the previous owner has done a lot of the hard work already. He dropped in a JDM 7MGE engine, did the headgasket right, BC coilovers and a few minor upgrades. I did change the power steering pressure line, the old one leaked so bad I had to refill the reservoir every day. Believe it or not I sold my 2010 Corolla and made this my daily and I have no regrets :biglaugh::biglaugh:. For now I plan on re-doing the exhaust, it has leaks everywhere and doesn't sound very good. I'm going 2.5" pipe from the manifold, cheap ebay resonator and muffler for now. I'm happy to be back in a Supra and will be posting updates on it.
I will post better pictures soon.

Cheers,
Oscar

Oscar, you sold a Corolla in order to use a Mk3 as a daily... bravo sir, bravo. You're braver than I am! That said, take care of it, and it'll take care of you. I have many years of daily driving a Supra under my belt, they make fantastic commuters apart from being a bit thirsty.

Thanks guys.

Yeah I got bit by the supra bug again. It was either this, or a GTI VR6. I'm happy with the Supra, I haven't had this feeling in a while. The Corolla is nice, but there's something about it that just isn't the same. I got a chance to install the muffler and it turned out my downpipe, where it turns from 2-1 the weld was completely broken off and that was creating the leak and sounding crappy. When I get a chance I'll make a video and post some pictures.
