Green Boxes on 1jz ecu

Does anyone know what the green boxes are on the 1jz ecu. Here is a picture below. I'm changing my capacitors and I need to know exactly what they are and where to get them so my electronics tech friend can replace them for me. He is not sure if they are resistors, capacitors, or even something else, and he doesn't want to replace them with the wrong thing. I also need to know where I can buy them. Thanks for any help.

i would just send my ecu to driftmotion, I think its only 40 bucks or something like that, And he knows exactly which ones to change since hes done plenty of them.

It's already been sent to my friend who is a defense contractor electronics technician. He just does not have a schematic for the ecu to know exactly what these pieces are, and he doesn't want to guess. If you don't know what they are it makes it a little harder to get them.

Anyone happen to have the ecu schematic?

I have heard that those 'green boxes' are the injector drivers, can't verify that. I can say that the main failure point in the 1jz ECU is the electrolytic capacitors, and that is one thing they are not. I've repaired 4 1jz ECU's and replacing the 5 electrolytic caps and fixing the damage from them leaking does the job for good.

The green boxes are Metalised polyester capacitors - these should not need replacing IMHO as they do not turn leaky like the electrolytics do.

The long black box is an IC of some sort, specific to the ECU I'd imagine - just ignore that.

As above, just replace the electrolytics and repair any damaged tracks if damaged.

Hope that helps.

It helps very much. Thank-you Sir.
