I've seen the recent thread about the ebay PTE injectors so it had me worried at first to get these. I got them from another member (used for 300 miles), he said he got them from IPT? Something like that. Anyway, they're 550's. Wanted to see what the dealers would make of the codes enscribed on the injectors:

66-4915-1188
68-4915-1188
91-4915-1188
86-4917-1188
106-4917-1188
95-4915-1188

The numbers are very similar so i assume thats a good thing?? unlike the numbers on some ebay bought "PTE injectors".

No flowchart was given.

Interesting as they are basically the same things. RC uses more rubber grommets/o rigns. RC uses one grommet on the top that rests on the rail and an o ring inside the entrance to the injector while PTE uses all metal. Both are all metal and both come black.

RC550 always on the right. Also, keep in mind, the RC was in a fire so its dirty :aigo:

Fuel Exit point - pretty much the same

Side by side - notice RC uses a rubber grommet for the fuel rail to sit on

Feed side (top) - notice the inner ring on the RC is a rubber oring while the PTE is metal

New RC's have a plastic shim instead of the stock rubber compression grommet.

The RC's i was using are about 1 year old. May have changed since.

Any idea why they would NOT use some type of plastic/rubber to seat on the rail (in this case the PTE's)? Is it not that big of a deal? I always figured them to be, one, safer less damaging on the rail, and two a backup if the o ring fails.
