so if i go wider than 225 will the car handle worse?

The theory is if you choose a width on the smaller side of whats rated for the rim width, that it will take up some of the slack that the sidewall would normally have. Which is one of the reasons drifters will have a wheel "stretched" onto their rim.

When you go to the wider side of the spectrum of the rim, you'll give the sidewall more chance to flex. Note: There is a certain limit where once you go to large, the sidewall will become counter productive and just dangerous.

I've been hearing good things from the BFG kdw. Although I dont have any experience with them first hand. Dont confuse them with the BFG kdws. They SUCK. My GTO came stock with them, and they lasted less than 10k. The traction sucked just as bad as if it were in snow.
