There are a lot of people on here that have done the swap. The information is spread out and incomplete. I DONT want this to turn into pissing match of TH350 vs R154 vs A340... I would like to hear from few people that have done the swap....

How much did it cost you?

What adapter did you use?

What flywheel/flexplate?

What TQ Converter are you using? (Hybrid Toyota, GM... size)

Clearance issues?

What else is needed? (obviously drive shaft, shifter, trans mount... all the little things that are not normally not talked about)

IM in the midst of my build. I have a full built th350 by a local guy who builds race trannies. I am using the ATI adapter with the ATI flexplate (INCLUDED with the plate) custom converter built by ATI. Hurst v-matic shifter (comes ratchet and gate both in one) My tranny is a full manual reverse valve body w/transbrake. You will have to build a custom trans mount.
I have close to $2775.00 in everything so far. give or take a few $

$1000.00 in the trans
$1000.00 in the converter
$550.00 in the adapter with Flex plate.(USED FROM JOLIROGER4) new is about $650.00
$200.00 shifter (Hurst V-Matic)
$70.00 trans cooler (b&m)
building my own mount

Still will have to mod my speedo. That is somewere posted on the forums here im sure I seen it.
I will have a shop local that builds shafts build that for me at the end of my build. Looking at another $350.00
Thats all I can think of.

I personally can't tell you yes or no as I don't know. I would suggest talking to a trans specialist or let someone chime in that has more experience with transmissions. Mine will be an upgraded pump from what I was told. You could always just shoot an email to ATI. I'm sure they can answer any question you could think of. Sorry I couldn't be more direct help.

There is quite a bit of clearencing involved for a 2jz if you are using the th350 bell housing. The motor sits 3/4" further back than a 7m.

Cost can vary greatly depending on how much you put in to the trans.

The tranny mount and shifter have to be custom fabbed of course. I run a quicksilver in my supra since it is rather compact and ratchets and does not require an additional lever making it possible to fab on the stock shift knob and leather boot. I run a quarter stick in my truck because it has a much more positive feel and I was not concerned about it looking stock. It is also a small lightweight shifter. The support took me about an hour to fab, I just modified the stock mount by welding on a metal plate and running a GM style polyeurathane mount.

The driveshaft any competant drive shaft shop should be able to build you. I bought a nice one for my truck in 3.5" aluminum with 1350 and 1310 joints from DSS. The supra has a steel 3" driveshaft made by a local shop. You just have to make sure you measure the way your drive shaft maker wants you to measure. Some places measure differently than others.

I have run 3 different ati adapter kits so far and have been happy with them especially since they are SFI approved. You are bound to their custom 9" fuel and blown converter however. You could probably send their converter elsewhere to get reworked if you were interested in seeing what another converter company could provide you with since the only custom thing about it is the cover, so I am sure it could be cut open, worked on and put back together just like a regular converter. I am pretty convinced their converter is top of the line. I calculated 6% slippage on my truck.
