im going na-t using a turbo block and electronics. when im buying parts like for example the starter, do i go for a turbo starter or stick to non-turbo cuz of the tranny? is there any other things i should swap like the upper y-pipe intake manifold and throttle body? or just keep them? any other swaps i should know about?

after its all said and done you could just but a turbo motor for the same price as getting everything separate. but it not you'll probally also want the turbo afm and injectors.

i've calculated and it would be about the same as getting a jdm motor but the difference is i'll have a rebuilt motor becuase im replacing bearings, pistons, piston rings, block cleaned and checked, metal headgasket, etc. so its much more worth then getting a stock jdm motor for $1500. i've already begun collecting parts like the injectors and the coil pack. just need to know everylittle swap that must be made other than electronics.

should i switch out throttle bodies and the y-pipe for the 3000 pipe?

You'll have to.

I think the TPS on a GTE is Different from a GE.

It will also make it easier to mount you coilpacks.
