Just recently purchased some redline mt-90 75w-90 oil for my trans and was wondering if the same oil can be used in my lsd? Not sure if we need a special additive for our limited slip. If there is a better brand to be used for my lsd plz dont hesitate to shoot it out.

Red Line MT-90 75W90 GL-4 Gear Oil is perfect for the W58 and R-154.

Red Line 75W90 GL-5 Gear Oil is perfect for open diff rears. (Don't use it in the trans - too slick for the synchros)

For limited slip rears, the above is fine but also use the Ford Friction modifier or the Red Line Friction Modifier & Break-In Additive.

I was wondering how much diff oil I should use on my lsd it is 4.3 ratio? I was told 2.3 pint which in quart it is almost 1.5 quarts. Would the gear ratio of change the amount of oil to use on a lsd?
