I screwed up and started twisting my gas tank hard line.
Should I cut it back and re flair it or replace part of it with a fuel hose?

Well i did the same thing before. I cut out the section i kinked and replaced it with special fuel hose. I used 2 clamps on both sides of the hose. Now, was that the best way to fix it?...no! But it works for now.

I did the same thing when I was trying to disconnect the fuel filter. Since this is a high pressure fuel line and it's on my race car, I went ahead and bit the bullet and plunked out the coin for an all new fuel pump bracket. Leaking fuel (or anything else for that matter) on the track is automatic black flag, not to mention dangerous as hell.

Just cut it and install a hose with a clamp on one side and an AN fitting on the other.
