Fuel return line

Hey all, I’m in the process of upgrading the fuel delivery system in my 89 7MGTE.
I noticed that there is a restrictive crimp on the steel ruturn line located by the passenger side motor mount.
I am using a fuel cell, 240lph pump and an adjustable fpr.
Wondering if I should cut off the restrictive tip on the line or if it serves as a secondary fpr?

Are you talking about the j-tube on the driver side motor mount? If so then yes bypass that when you are upgrading your fuel system as it is very restrictive. I cut that whole j-tube off and just had a flat plate that mounted to the engine block to clean up some space.

Yes thats the one. I meant to say driver side. Its welded to a plate. Thanks for the info!
