what would casue this? this thing was really hot, and got hott very quicly. i have a walbro pump, afpr, and 550's. dont know if that matters. thanks

a resistor is supposed to be hot, hence the huge heatsink on it. but if it gets too hot it will fry itself, and wont work.id check the voltage on both sides of it. one should be 12v (car off) and maybe around 14v with car running if you have a good alternator, and on the other side should be 9v. if that checks out fine, i would assume that it is ok.
