When im normal shifting i dont smell it, but 1st gear or getting on or off exits and expressways i can smell it really heavily, this has never happened agiain, ans i was wondering if anyone has gone through this same dilemma please let me know thanks in advance

Do you still have your charcoal canister?
If you take that off and dont vent it right you will get a fuel smell in the cabin.

check to vac lines running to the charcoal canister, make sure they aren't deteriorated, if so, get new ones or do away with the canister completely. I you get rid of it, make sure you get that vacume hose coming from the gas tank outa the engine bay ;).
