Fuel pressure stays when car is off / no "J" tube.

I have the Aeromotive/ Walbro set up from what I understand is the presure should hold for about five minettes or so after you shut off the car, which it did when I first installed this set up, Which I've had for a few months now. I started my car just to move a few feet, a few days later, I opened the hood and I see the presure stayed at around thirty, what's going on here?:3d_frown:

I don't really care, because the car starts right away, just wondering if this is a good thing or is there something not right.

What is your base pressure without the vacuum line?

the aeromotive should not hold pressure at rest. Mine doesnt and according to them they dont make one that does. fyi...

As long as it's regulating properly while in use (ie not somehow jammed shut) you should be grateful, not suspicious.

FYI, my A1000-6 & Walbro 255HP hold more than 2.5kg/cm2 and although I've never timed it for how long it holds; saying they shouldn't hold pressure is bogus. More likely then not, most do, but some don't, so Aeromotive says that (assuming they do actually say that) to save themselves the headache of overly vocal customers who get units that don't hold pressure and cry for a replacement.

O.K Colin, cool, yeah I was just wondering because from reading threads from S.M. people have been saying it "should" drop after about five mins. My presure has been up for days now.

I wouldn't be concerned as long as it operates normally while the car/pump is running.

call them yourself then. I went through this about 9 months ago trying to figure out why there were mixed reviews on rest pressure from their products. I have no need to lie, i wouldnt post it if i hadnt dealt with it first hand...

Mine will hold my base pressure for hours if not longer, I wouldn't worry.
